TARP money equals new jobs?
Yesterday on the radio I heard how we are supposed to call our congressman and tell him we support the TARP money for creating new jobs. Bob and I have talked about this and if we leave it up to government officials, we are not going to get out of this mess.
I’m hoping against hope they use the TARP funds for projects that are given to companies who already have employees. But, I’ve heard to many times they are considering using TARP funds to create jobs. ONE TIME PAYMENTS TO CREATE JOBS. How does a one time payment create a job? Sure, it creates a job for 12 months. But, unless they endow the job with the TARP funds which is just as foolish as creating the job in the first place, the person gets let go at the end of the 12 months. I could go on and on about this but it is just so frustrating to watch.
